An outdoor baseball game means sitting in uncomfortable stadium seats, lots of walking around and the potential to spilled on by any combination of mustard, ketchup, beer, etc…The key to a sucessful outfit is to make sure you wear pieces that you aren’t afraid to get dirty. So with this in mind let’s get together an option for the game!
1. Wear Team Colors
Now what I’m going to say next may surprise people as I tend to wear pink more than the average person. Please do not wear pink jerseys/hats to a game. The whole point of going to a game is to show your support for your team, which is totally undermined when you wear a pink shirt that has nothing to do with anything. Do not fear though as I do have some other options for cute, game appropriate attire. You can do what I did with my Red Sox jersey and buy a child’s large (as adult jerseys tend to be too big and shapeless) or…you can head over to Victoria’s Secret as they have recently come out with a MLB collection as part of their PINK line. They offer t-shirts, hoodies and sweats in team appropriate colors with feminine cuts so that you don’t look like you’ve raided your boyfriend’s closet to find an outfit for the game.
2. Be Comfortable
For jeans, opt for something on the more casual side like Boyfriend jeans or cutoff denim shorts during the summer months. In terms of footwear, the flater the better. I would recommend cute sneakers, preferably in team colors. If sneakers aren’t your thing, flat boots can be a good option as well when paired with skinny jeans. When it comes to the bag, keep it small and easy to carry. I like crossbody bags that you don’t have to worry about slipping off your shoulder as you try to make your way through the crowd.
3. Keep Hair Simple
You don’t want to look like you spent hours on your hair. Pick simple, no fuss options like a braid or ponytail. Personally, I opted for a fishtail braid. Mainly to show off that I finally know how to do one.
I’ve put together some game-day options below. Hope this helps and have fun!
