Naomi Campbell is famous for her Supermodel Walk and her tendency to throw large objects at people. But in this case we are highlighting her for bringing awareness to the people affected by natural disasters and using Fashion to do so. (We love when people use Fashion to help others). During the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival Naomi Campbell and Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani put on an amazing Fashion for Relief show that benefited those affected in Japan by the earthquake and tsunami.

Naomi Campbell has been putting on Fashion Relief benefits since 2005. Some of the models that walked in this year’s show were: Jane Fonda, Noemie Lenoir, Sessilee Lopez, Rosario Dawson, Karolina Kurkova, Yasmin Le Bon, Lindsay Wixon, and clothes were donated by Lanvin, Sonia Rykiel, Valentino, Marchesa, Jean-Paul Gaultier and many more.
“The destruction caused by the earthquake in Japan is completely heartbreaking, it’s so hard to even begin to comprehend the tragic loss people are coping with. I felt very passionate to try and help in whatever way possible, to do our part and to support Japan at this time. I hope that the money raised from Fashion For Relief in Cannes will support those who need it most.”
