Both elements of this outfit are pieces I love.
I’ve had this strapless dress (worn here as a skirt) forever. I originally bought it when I was still living on the east coast where, due to many summers of 90+ degree weather, I wore it much more often in it’s original strapless form. Now that I’m living in the windy city by the bay though, I decided to add a sweater to the mix and give the dress new life as a skirt.
The sweater I love because it is very conservative in the front but fun and open in the back. Kind of like the shirt version of a mullet I guess (but way cooler of course!) The open back also gives me an opportunity to wear my necklace backwards. I saw it done at my friend’s sister’s wedding once and thought it was such a great idea and have been meaning to try it since.
