As a continuation of my Tuesday post, here are some pictures from the next stop on our vacation. After spending a very relaxing week in Ireland, we headed over to Amsterdam.
This was the first picture I took when we arrived because I thought it was so cute that all of the coffee came with little cookies. I think we should start that tradition in San Francisco too. I could definitely use a cookie with my morning Starbucks.
We walked a very long way one morning (and passed many other breakfast spots), to get to a specific pancake restaurant that my fiance had gone to while studying abroad here some years back. I figured after all of this effort I needed to take a picture in front of this famous bakery. I ordered the bacon and egg pancake which was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the walk (see below).
I got so excited when I saw this sign from a distance. When we got up closer I realized that the cheese museum wasn’t open yet and was actually “coming soon”. Guess I’ll just have to make a trip back when it opens!
The nicest looking mall I’ve ever seen
Trying to get artsy with different camera settings…
After visiting the Van Gogh Museum
I was really excited about getting a picture with the “I amsterdam” sign. Apparently so were 100 other people and it was nearly impossible to get a picture alone with the sign. I did a picture with the “M” though which I guess is exciting…
I finally broke down after the first two days of our trip and bought some very touristy pink gloves with “Amsterdam” written across the front. Slightly embarrassing but they did the trick!
On our final morning there we took a boat ride along the canals. When I first saw this I was seriously convinced a bus full of senior citizens had somehow gotten into the canal and was about to call for help when I realized the bus was actually made to travel in water. You got me this time!
The fiance (I think this is his first appearance on the blog!) hanging out in the back of the boat we took through the canals
Our last hour in Amsterdam before we left for the airport. I didn’t want to leave!
Final stop on the trip was London so I’ll be sharing some pictures from there soon!
