As I was looking through these pictures I realized that my look was a bit more, shall we say, "biker chic" than I usually wear. There was something about this cropped, quilted, leather jacket that I just couldn't resist though. Plus, I always try to experiment with my style and play around with different looks. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far and getting excited for the weekend!

When it comes to accessories, we are both huge fans of watches. They are a practical and chic way to dress up any look! While a timepiece can certainly stand alone as a statement accessory, we also love to pair them with stacks of bracelets and cocktail rings. Our go-to watch styles include bold faces with classic gold or silver finishes, (or the occasional white leather band thrown in for good measure!)

So I know that 2013 is the year of Emerald, but I'm going through a serious blue phase lately. Clearly blue was on my mind in my last post, and I couldn't help but feature these bright blue heels the moment I received them. I paired them with this ultra-soft, coral-colored top and a cute woven clutch that I've had forever, (but don't use nearly enough!)

As Britt mentioned last week. we indulged in a late brunch with a quick shoot afterwards. I hope you all saw my feature on my San Francisco favorites: Color by Mia. This is the rest of the photos from that shoot. I wore a fitted black & white striped blazer with flats. Brunch attire with flats on the weekends is the most I can manage after a hectic week. I added a bright cardigan and couldn't resist pairing off the look with my Celine.

Happy Friday everyone! I kept this outfit simple and classic by pairing one of my favorite striped shirts with this cute star scarf (can't leave home without a scarf!) Since my overall outfit was just blue and white, I added a bright orange bag to add a little something extra to the look!
Zara jacket and shirt, Forever 21 scarf (get it here for only $8!!) and belt, MiH jeans, c/o Rebecca Minkoff bag, MIA heels, Tory Burch bracelet (similar style here!)

It's always hard to feel chic and fashionable in cold weather and even harder to dress chic when its raining on you. When the clouds come in I normally go straight for comfort and warmth. My solution on trying to keep the dressy element but still be cozy warm is adding lots of layers and tights! This is also a good example for repurposing your summer dresses for winter.
BB Dakota Dress (similar dress and this one is really cute too), Gryphon Coat, Forever21 Chambray top, studded version,
tights thanks to Hue, Old Navy Booties, Zara brown leather purse, Pearl collar from Etsy

I wore this outfit to brunch with Whit on Saturday. We finally tried out Sweet Maple (and yes, we did get the Millionaire's Bacon and yes, it was delicious!) On the weekend, I've been leaning towards looks that are simple (jeans and a sweater), comfy (flats), yet still chic and put together (hint of sparkle on the sweater and clutch). Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

People are always asking us for salon recommendations around San Francisco. I can definitely sympathize, finding someone you can trust your hair with is very tricky. When I first moved to the city it was more trial and error, which was never a good situation for my hair. But four years ago I found Mia from Color By Mia and never left. I have been going to see her longer than I have had the blog! I have followed her to 3 different salons and will continue to follow her as her work is flawless. Not only does she always give me exactly what I want, but going to see her is more like catching up with an old girlfriend than getting your hair done!
Mia is a 2nd generation Bay Area native with a love for the California coast. Born in Oakland and raised in Berkeley, Mia got her start in hair first as a model and then a freelance print and commercial stylist. She has worked as a sought after colorist at premiere San Francisco salons such as Architects and Heroes and DiPietro Todd. In fact, Mia’s work was recommended by Allure Magazine.
She has specialized in color for more than 15 years and has trained in San Francisco, Paris, New York, London, Miami, and L.A. Mia has acquired extensive knowledge of the latest products such as Goldwell, Schwartzkopf, Wella, Matrix, Clairol, Loreal, Solaris and Redken. She is current, professional, well read. With both Mexican and Filipino ancestry she prides herself on being an expert at Asian and Latino hair color. She is the creator of the premiere anti-aging hair treatment called HALO. Mia currently works at both San Francisco and Oakland based salons, visit Mia: here
I always need a little reboot on my hair after winter. Here is the final product from my visit with Mia:

As a continuation to my post earlier this week, I wanted to share photos from the Sarah Seven runway show. I seriously can't get enough of her dresses and it was such an honor to be asked to participate in the event. A big thank you to the lovely Erin, Yasmin, and Allison for coordinating another successful Lab Event!
