One of the interesting things about having a personal style blog is that you get to look back at all of the different ways you've worn various pieces over time. This leather jacket is definitely a staple in my wardrobe and I've paired it with everything from chiffon maxi skirts to skinny jeans and boots.

Printed Pencil
I seem to have a slight obsession with pencil skirts and this black and white version is no exception. They are the perfect staple for work and pair nicely with a light turtleneck sweater, (one of our favorite trends from NYFW!) Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far!

Blue Prints
Happy Monday! Here is a classic work look that I wore to the office last week. I paired printed pants with a cozy cable knit sweater, which always seems to be the perfect top layer, especially on those cold mornings. I added a pop of color with my neon pink necklace. I tied the rest of the look together with some white cap toe heels that just seem to go with everything recently.

Neon Stripes
San Francisco experienced a slight heat wave last weekend and I made sure to take full advantage of the warmer weather. I've been dying to wear this pleated chiffon blouse with a neon-yellow, striped accent and decided to pair it with white skinny jeans for an overall Spring feel. While the weather has definitely cooled off since last weekend, I'm looking forward to wearing my Spring pieces again!
What pieces are you looking forward to for Spring?

Blazer With A Side Of Stripes
I love a good blazer. Its such a great staple piece to have in your wardrobe. This one caught my eye because of the embellished gold buttons. I wore this when it was actually warm, but we have had some rain lately. Its so hard to feel chic when you get all damp and wet.

Shockingly Pink
This look has become my go-to outfit when I need to get ready in a hurry. Slim black pants (in this case my Uniqlo leggings which I affectionately refer to as my "brunch pants" as they have just enough stretch to afford room for the occasional stack of pancakes), wedge black boots, and a vibrant sweater. Simple, comfortable, and yet put together.

Britt & Whit: A Converse Story
Britt's Converse Story
I honestly can't remember my first pair of Converse sneakers which means I must have been pretty young when I got them. I do remember being extremely excited to get a classic black and white pair when I was in Junior High though. Converse is such an iconic brand and I'm constantly amazed by the diversity of the styles. No matter what look you are going for, there is a Converse sneaker to fit. My favorite pair though are ones I bought while shopping with my little sister at the Converse store near my parent's house. The fabric has a metallic silver thread that sparkles in the sunlight! I've pretty much worn them all over San Francisco at this point, from riding my bike along the Embarcadero, to taking my dog for trips to Fort Funston and Ocean Beach.

Whit's Converse Story
My very first pair of Converse were a pink pair that I wore into the ground during middle school. I had a huge pink obsession when I was young. Converse is such a great American brand. I love that Converse has a little something for everyone and they continue to do classic retakes on the old style shoes. I styled this pair with some mint jeans and rolled the cuffs up a bit.
These are such a great walking shoe, especially in San Francisco!

NYFW 2013: Key Trends
Fashion week always brings little surprises and this year was no different. Oscar De La Renta Fall show was yesterday and of course was absolutely stunning. He brought back John Gallino to work with him on the fall show! We have been actively following all the shows from NYFW. We also have been sharing the links of live streams from some of our favorite designers on our facebook. Regardless of the show, key themes we noticed across the runways were turtlenecks, fun prints and leather. The turtleneck comes just in time, as it has been very chilly in San Francisco lately. Ps. If you are looking for some Valentine's Day outfit inspiration, check out our video!
