No Tricks, Just Treats With The Fall 2020 FabFitFun Box

Updated on

School is starting, Costco has Christmas decorations out (or so I hear from my brave husband who does the shopping) and the world is burning… fall is in the air. It seems that 2020 has committed to take the Cobra Kai motto “No Mercy”, leaving all of us in need of some pampering. No worries, I got my Fab Fit Fun Box full of fall goodies to keep me relaxed and cozy.

This season’s box is 100% recyclable and they have partnered with No Kid Hungry to bring awareness and let members donate while adding items to their boxes. Great smelling sheets, environmentally friendly and bringing awareness to hunger during this strange time is hitting it in all the right places this gourd season.

My Fall box is full of lovely products that will keep me feeling refreshed and put together. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I think the Stress Reliever Hair Oil is amazing and I have used it everyday since its arrival. Not to sound like a broken record, but if you haven’t tried FabFitFun but have thought about it, take the plunge, there is nothing better than receiving a present that makes you feel good, and that does good.

You can do a seasonal subscription for $49.99 and you get to pick 3 customizations of your items you get in the box, all of the others will be surprises. A yearly membership costs 179.99 and is a $20 yearly savings. Yearly Memberships are called Select Status and you get 5 customization choices for the items in your box, early customization and early shipping. It is definitely worth it to go Select if you think you will be hanging around for a while.

As far as bags go, this one is amazing. I have an 18month old (and a 5 year old) so I need to have a place to put diapers and rocks (if you have kids, you know) but I am also out of the big diaper bag stage. Now, I am not going many places these days, but being able to throw in my essentials and have space for the twigs, rocks and flowers that my little explorer hands me is great. If I was able to get a babysitter and go on a casual date with my husband, I would definitely take this bag. It has booted my diaper bag to a goodwill box and has made its place in my closet.

Like many Basic B’s, I am a sucker for cozy. Scarves, cardigans, and woven ponchos are what fall is all about. I actually picked this because it reminds me of one my late grandma had given me, so just looking at it reminds me of her. Once that cool weather sets in I see it as a replacement for my house coat, it’s soft and cozy and I am completely digging the fringe.

The cuff is very beautiful and seems to be a quality piece. I haven’t worn it much because I usually don’t wear anything on my right wrist, and the cuff doesn’t go well with my smart watch. I am happy I chose it though, because it can be boho paired with some wrapped bracelets or worn by itself for a dressed up occasion. The two toned color also leaves your choices of pairing it open to gold or silver or both.

I Chose…Feel Beauty Renewed Pumpkin Walnut Facial Cleanser

Pumpkin contains vitamins and antioxidants that fight sun damage and the fruit enzymes from the pumpkin and walnut exfoliate for smoother skin. This cleanser smells amazing. I usually make my own exfoliating cleanser with brown sugar but this is a total glow up. The scent is subtle but refreshing and my skin feels so amazing when I am done with it. I love this cleanser.

Truth, this stuff saved my hair today. As in, I was considering giving myself a quarantine haircut today because I was assessing my very frayed ends, and they are begging to be chopped. Then remembered I had this in my drawer. Not saying my hair isn’t going to end up on my bathroom floor in the near future, but this oil made my hair much more manageable, and after using it I didn’t feel the need to style it at all. It has a very earthy fragrance that is not overpowering, which I really love. Like I mentioned before, I have been using this on the daily, and really like how it feels in my hair.

I haven’t gotten to use this yet, as I go nowhere right now. I may have to try this out on my best pajama set, or my linen sheets. It has a pleasant smell and once I feel safe to leave my house because the smoke is gone, and Covid isn’t such a threat, you can bet your bottom dollar I will be dressing in all my fanciest things to go pump gas. This will be on the back burner as soon as I need to unwrinkle anything.

I Got… Hythe Tranquility Sleep Mist

I love this stuff. I mean it, it is love. I don’t know if it helps me sleep, I do not need help because I am exhausted full time and given the chance I can fall asleep anywhere. That being said, this spray is so next level. It smells amazing and leaves your room feeling like a relaxing spa. I have been using this daily, and even sprayed some in my hair after I had to run out to the garden leaving my hair smelling like a campfire. I have used sheet and bedding mist or spray for years and this is by far my favorite, and even my husband hasn’t complained about our room smelling like a hippie bus.

Great highlighter. I am not a makeup fanatic, but when I do decide to get gussied up, its mascara, tinted balm and highlighter. It is creamy and light, and has the perfect amount of shimmer, and I don’t feel like it gets caked in my “fine lines” like some other highlighters do. I also like it because if I nap in my bed my white pillows don’t look like a clown tried to make out with it. It’s the little things that make a big difference, ‘eh?

Final Thoughts

The Fall 2020 box is pretty spot on. The wrinkle release is the only product I haven’t used thus far, and I am sure it will get used once life is a little less hermit-y for us. All of the products seem to be perfect for many of us from different walks of life. I am also very glad FabFitFun is going more environmentally friendly, it’s great to see a company taking a lead that we can all follow. This season’s box is a must-have, especially if you want to treat yourself for this last leg of 2020.
