FabFitFun vs Ellie: Which Fitness Subscription Box is for You?

Published on

Are you a fitness junkie, or a fitness newbie? Either way, if you have a fitness-related goal this year, fitness subscription boxes are a great way to keep those goals a high priority and make them fun! Who doesn’t look forward to a new cute outfit to rock while killing their goals?

Today we will be comparing two fitness subscription boxes: FabFitFun vs Ellie. We will compare how they work, the pricing, pros and cons, and ultimately decide which one we like better and think might be best for you. The difference between FabFitFun and Ellie is that one focuses more on workout wear, whereas the other focuses more on overall fitness items as well as other health related items.

How Do They Work

There are multiple subscription options for each box, but one ships annually and the other ships monthly.

FabFitFun

FabFitFun is a seasonal subscription box that sends you full-sized products relating to beauty, fashion, fitness and lifestyle goodies. This box takes a more balanced approach to fitness, in the sense of helping you live a well rounded life in all areas vs focusing on just one. When you join the FabFitFun family, you’ll also get access to FabFitFun TV which has great exercise videos for you to check out.

FabFitFun has two subscription options: become a seasonal member, or an annual member. There are different perks to both of these membership subscriptions. Let’s check them out.

Whatever subscription option you choose, you’ll get a notification when your seasonal box is ready to ship and your customization window is opened. A benefit of being an annual member is that you can customize everything in your box, and you get the first pick of the items. Sometimes things can run out, so this is a big plus.

Ellie

Ellie is a monthly fitness subscription box that focuses on quality and trendy workout clothing to help you slay your fitness goals. The outfits that you can choose every month are pre-curated, cute and very budget friendly. They also have a great new program where you can mix and match any of the clothing to create a customized outfit just right for you!

There are a couple of ways that you can start your subscription with Ellie. First, you can shop their 3 item pre-curated outfits which is really simple because all you have to do is put in your size! OR you can try one of their Mix and Match subscription options for a 2 items box, 3 items box, or a 5 items box. This subscription option is fun because it is truly customizable to what you want and what fits in your budget. Here’s a better look at the subscription options:

I did a review on Ellie about 6 months ago, and they have made some BIG changes since then. Definitely for the better! FabFitFun has always been well loved by its members.

How Much Do They Cost?

You get a lot of value with both of these subscription boxes compared to how much you pay to become a subscriber.

FabFitFun

FabFitFun has two subscription options for you to join. You can become a seasonal member for $59.99 per box, or an annual member for $54.99 per box (but you’re billed annually at $219.99).

Each box has a total value of $200+ worth of full-sized items inside, which makes paying $59.99 a quarter worth it.

Ellie

As we went over in the above chart, Ellie technically has 3 subscription options available to you ranging in price from $44.99 to $59.95. Each option will renew automatically every month, but you have the option to skip-the-month or cancel completely.

What do you get in the boxes?

Both of these fitness subscription boxes have options to customize making what you receive fit you and your style even better!

FabFitFun

Every quarter you’ll receive a box of 8 full-sized goodies. These items will be related to fitness/wellness, as well as home, lifestyle items, and beauty products. FabFitFun works with well-known and loved brands so you’re sure to love what comes in your box every time!

Depending on the membership type you choose, you will be able to curate half of the box or everything before it is shipped out to you.

This is obviously not a full blown fitness box, but users do say they get something fitness/health related almost every time, and that those items are very useful.

Ellie

Ellie focuses on mostly fitness clothing items such as: sports bras, bottoms, tops, and sweaters. You also have options to purchase fitness related accessories like foot rollers, bands and more! Whatever subscription type you choose will be fully customized by you, so no surprises will come your way.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re a fitness junkie or a newbie, we think that you’ll really enjoy either of these fitness subscription boxes! Who doesn’t like to receive a new workout outfit every month to help keep you motivated to slay your goals? And all the accessories are great too!

Our personal favorite is Ellie. If you’re looking to get cute outfits at a great price, this is your place. We did a review on Ellie clothing months ago, and since then they have made major changes that have put them up top in our books. Plus, who wants to wait for a subscription box every quarter when you can get one every month?
