I know I’m there almost every other day to check out the new home decor, beauty products, clothing, and to get my Starbucks Pink Drink fill. Target also makes it really easy to shop online through their Target app. This comes in handy for me when I want to do a store pick up or ship an item to my home. I know my husband appreciates this because I don’t come back with a bunch of random stuff! Did you know about the Target Beauty Capsule? For only $14.99 (plus tax and shipping) Target will send you a Beauty Capsule full of amazing full sized and sample sized products. Sounds awesome, right?
I ordered the “Best Night In” Target Beauty Capsule for $14.99 plus tax and shipping. My capsule came SO FAST, like within days, and was chock-full of fun products for me to try. I received lotions, face masks, hair masks, acne patches, a sponge, charcoal toothpaste and more! There are too many items that I really liked in this Beauty Capsule, but my favorite was the Mighty Patch from Hero Cosmetics. If you haven’t tried these, you’re missing out. I highly recommend getting this box as a gift for a friend, or even some much needed TLC for yourself. I’m going to go over my complete experience with the Target Beauty Capsule, but I do highly recommend it.
How Do You Get the Target Beauty Capsule?
All you have to do is search for “Target Beauty Capsule” on their website or their app. Then you’ll have different Beauty Capsule options pop up that are available for you to purchase and try. Currently they only have two: Black-Owned or Founded Beauty Sample Box, and Best Night In Sample Box. I chose to get the Best Night In Beauty Capsule because it had more products inside of it that intrigued me personally. After tax and shipping, my total was $22.53.
Once you purchase your Target Beauty Capsule, all there’s left to do is wait for a fun surprise to show up on your doorstep. Mine was delivered at lightning speed, days after I ordered my capsule. Can’t say I wasn’t impressed.
Is it a Subscription?
The Target Beauty Capsule is not a subscription. You have to get onto Target’s website and order a box anytime you want one. This is nice because you can gift these boxes with ease, or purchase multiples for yourself whenever you want!
What We Like About Target Beauty Capsule
I loved the variety of products that I received, and that they were all within the theme of a “best night in.” Some of the products didn’t excite me much, but other ones blew me out of the water! I was especially impressed that I received quite a few full-sized items and everything I can buy at my local Target. The price point is great for what you receive, and I really enjoyed trying out this Beauty Capsule.
What We Don’t Like About Target Beauty Capsule
Honestly? That there are currently only two options to choose from! I don’t know if Target comes out with more curated Beauty Capsule boxes on a monthly basis, but I would have loved to have more choices. Also, it’s not a subscription, but I could see myself really enjoying receiving a box like this out of the blue every month.
Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask Sample.
Eva NYC is a great hair product brand. This hair mask smells amazing and I’m so excited to use it the next time I wash my hair! With Argan oil and plant protein, this hair mask claims to hydrate and soften your hair for added shine. I also love that it’s cruelty-free, and free of sulfates and parabens. This product retails at $3.99 for the size I got (perfect gift giving size), and $14.49 for the full sized product.
Freeman Anti-Stress Dead Sea Minerals Clay Mask Sample
I’ve actually used this mask from Freeman before, and it’s not the most quality, but great for a girls party. I really like the size of it, you can get 3 to 4 uses out of the bag so they have capped it for you which is nice. This specific mask is for normal/combo skin and retails for $2.99 at Target.
Que Bella Dragon Fruit Gel Cream Mask

This is also a fun little mask for a girls night in or even for a stocking stuffer! This conditioning mask helps to revitalize your skin within minutes. The cool part about this mask is that it absorbs into the skin, and you have the choice to rinse the excess off or pat it into your skin for extra nourishment. Retail for this face mask is $1.99.
Up & Up Deep Cleaning Pore Strips
After doing some research (prior to receiving this box) I actually stopped using pore strips. I have found that they can make me more dry, and can injure the skin more than it actually cleans your pores out. I received the full size of this product (14 strips) so that’s cool, but I’m going to pass them along to someone who will use them. Retail this costs $6.99.
Yes To Cucumber Two-Step Eye Kit
This two-step eye kit is a fun one for a cozy night in. Step number 1 has you depuff your under eye with a cooling eye mask for 10 minutes. Then you go in with step number 2, a daily eye treatment cream, that you dab around your eyes. This particular eye kit is for sensitive skin, which is great because that is exactly what I have! Retail for this kit is $3.99.
Ecotools Econet Recycled Sponge -color cream
Ecotools has always been a favorite brand of mine. I was excited to receive this recycled netted sponge because the color is beautiful and it honestly smells good? This Econet sponge is best for gentle cleansing in the shower/bath, and is easy to rinse out and hang dry. They do recommend you replace it every 30 days. Retail for this recycled sponge is $2.99 and it has amazing reviews!
Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Duo Mini Sample
LOVE these! I’ve actually tried them before so I was a little disappointed I only got a very small pack of them in my Target Beauty Capsule. If you don’t know what the Mighty Patch is, it’s a hydrocolloid acne patch that you put over a pimple to speed up healing and get rid of it quicker. They’re honestly amazing and so satisfying to use. This small package comes with 6 Original patches for night time use, and 6 Invisible + patches for daytime use. This product retails for $6.99 for the size I got, and you have many other options and sizes to choose from.
ARC Charcoal Mint Toothpaste
SO excited to try this whitening toothpaste out. Not only is the packaging dang cool, but it also helps whiten your teeth, fight cavities with the added fluoride, freshens your breath with the mint flavor and doesn’t have any artificial preservatives added in. I’ve tried charcoal toothpaste in the past, and the texture/flavor can be really disgusting. Excited to give this one a go, and it’ll last me a while because they sent me a full size! This toothpaste from ARC retails for $7.99.
Smartly Unscented Hand and Body Lotion
I actually like a soft scent in my lotions, but you know who doesn’t and was so excited to try this product out? My husband. He doesn’t like the scents of most lotions and the feel of them on his skin. This hand and body lotion from Smartly is unscented and is great at moisturizing dry skin. I might leave this one in my bathroom for my husband to use whenever he wants. It came in a very large bottle with a pump, so it should last him a while. This lotion retails at a whopping $1.99. Can that be right?
Final Thoughts
I highly recommend ordering a Target Beauty Capsule Box, especially if you’re already a Target lover like me. I was so impressed with the quality and size of the items I was sent. There was a theme to my box which was fun because all the products related to a cozy night in. The price point is fair, and I think this would make an awesome gift. I do wish Target had more Beauty Capsules to choose from, so hopefully they release more, but overall this was a great experience.
