Are you more of an athleisure/workout wear girl, or a dress up and look nice everyday kind of a girl? Me – I’m a good mixture, but tend on the side of workout wear. The reason being that I workout in the morning and then run a bunch of errands that I don’t always feel the need to get ready for. Instead I’d like to look put together and stylish in my workout clothes so that I can run out the door really fast. You get me?
If you’re like me, a workout junkie who wears workout clothes most days, you probably love finding different styles and options when it comes to workout clothes. An easy and really fun way I have found to do this is signing up for a workout wear subscription box. Come check out two with me, and see which is the best!
YogaClub and Fabletics are two great online workout clothing subscription boxes. The difference between the two is that Fabletics has options for both men and women, and YogaClub focuses only on womens workout wear. With both Fabletics and YogaClub, you can either shop their site directly, or sign up for a monthly subscription to see some major discounts on their workout wear. Let’s go over all the little details…
How Do They Work
Both of these workout clothing subscription companies operate very similarly.
YogaClub
YogaClub is an online workout wear shop that also offers a subscription service where a stylist curates your monthly yoga outfit for you. This is only available for women.
To get started with YogaClub you’ll first take a style quiz based on your preferences in workout clothing, colors, skin you like to keep covered, and fit. It’s important to be very detailed when filling out this quiz as your assigned stylist will use it to curate your Yoga box for you. After the quiz is filled out, you can sign up for a Guru membership which will give you exclusive and steep discounts on their workout clothing. If you don’t want to work with a stylist, and would like to pick out your outfit on your own, that’s totally an option! You can also shop the YogaClub website without any subscription, but the items will definitely be more pricey as they are steeply discounted with a subscription.
You can easily skip a month or cancel your subscription within your account. Just be sure to do it 48 hours before your next billing cycle. You’ll be billed each month on the same day that you signed up for a YogaClub subscription box.

Fabletics
Fabletics is an online subscription service/store whose mission it is to provide high quality, stylish workout clothes for “everyone and everybody” at an affordable price. They have options for both men and women.
Fabletics is very similar to YogaClub. You can shop the site without signing up for a subscription, but you will not get the steep discounted prices that come with a monthly subscription.
To get started with a Fabletics subscription, you’ll first take a brief style quiz that covers your preferred fits, colors, and pieces of clothing. You’ll then create an account, become a VIP, and you can shop the site! Being a Fabletics VIP member allows you to get exclusive discounts and offers, including access to the Fabletics fitness app. Every month you’ll have purchased “credits” with your subscription. These credits can be redeemed for an outfit or an item of clothing up to $80. If you decide to skip the month, the credits will roll over and be added to your next month’s credits allowing you to purchase even more. *Credits expire after a year.
As I said briefly before, Fabletics lets you shop for individual pieces of workout clothing, or you can shop one of their pre-curated outfits depending on the amount of credits that you have for the month. The pre-curated outfits are dang cute, and oftentimes they do collaborations with well-known celebrities who create their own Fabletics line.
You can easily skip a month, or even cancel your VIP membership, but you have to do it between the 1st and the 5th of the month to avoid being charged the subscription fee.
*Credits can also be used at Fabletics sister company, Yitty which is a shapewear company created in collaboration with Lizzo!
Pros/Cons
Let’s check out the pros and cons of each of these workout clothing subscriptions.
YogaClub
Pros
- The pre-curated outfits are very trendy and cute.
- You can have a personal stylist choose an outfit for you each month instead if you want.
- Shipping is quick and free!
- Clothing quality is fine.
Cons
- If you do decide to go with the personal stylist, it might be a “miss” the first few times.
- Research sizing before you purchase items, as some can come very tight!
- To return or exchange anything, you have to pay for the shipping. Lame!
Fabletics
Pros
- Workout clothing options for both men and women.
- Becoming a VIP gives you access to their mobile fitness app.
- You can purchase single items OR pre-curated outfits.
- Sister shapewear company called Yitty that your credits are valid at.
- High quality workout clothing.
Cons
- Prices can still be steep even with a membership, but especially if you don’t have a subscription.
- You have to pay for return shipping. Once again, lame!
- Styles can sell out very quickly.
How Much Do They Cost
These two memberships are very similarly priced.
YogaClub
A YogaClub Guru membership costs $59 per month, and gives you a 3-piece outfit at $160 retail value.
This membership will renew monthly, or you can skip/cancel at any time. You also have the option to shop their site without a membership, but you won’t enjoy the perks of half off prices.
Fabletics
A Fabletics VIP membership is a monthly charge of $54.95. With the VIP membership you’ll get steep discounts on their workout clothing (we’re talking 50% off), so just shopping on their site is a lot more pricey.
To skip a month you’ll need to do so between the 1st and the 5th of each month. Otherwise you’ll still be charged the membership fee and given a credit toward their activewear.
What Style Of Clothes Do You Get?
Both of these brands offer options for instyle workout and athleisure wear.
YogaClub
YogaClub collaborates with brands like: Vie Active, Sol and Mane, Whisper and LA Soul. Sizing is dependent on each brand so be sure to check out their sizing charts! The style of the workout clothing is very trendy, and you have many different options for a more covered look, or something more airy.
Fabletics
Fabletics collaborates with many celebrities in creating their own workout lines. With a large variety of colors, styles and patterns, there’s sure to be something for everybody. Sizing with Fabletics is standard.
Final Thoughts
After covering all of the details on both of these workout clothing subscription box companies, it’s hard to choose who’s the best! There are definite positives and negatives to both, but overall they operate very similarly. Having received clothing from both of these subscription boxes, overall I’d say I like the quality of Fabletics workout clothing better. I feel like it has held up well, and fit me great from day 1. I do like with either subscription you have the option to choose what outfit you would like to be sent your way. Overall, we don’t think you can go wrong with either of these workout clothing subscription boxes, but in our opinion the best would have to be Fabletics.
